Demand, pricing for natural catastrophe reinsurance to rise

German reinsurer Hannover Re SE said demand for natural catastrophe reinsurance and pricing will both climb after recent flooding in Europe and Germany, while other major natural catastrophe zones should also see price hardening in 2022, Artemis reported. Hannover Re anticipates a continuing trend towards higher prices in property and casualty reinsurance throughout next year.
