Acrisure names former Disney exec as CFO

Acrisure LLC on Tuesday named Lowell Singer, former head of investor relations at The Walt Disney Co., as its chief financial officer, replacing its former top finance executive who stepped down earlier this year.
Mr. Singer, who spent 14 years at Disney, will report to Greg Williams, CEO and president of the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based brokerage.
Acrisure, which has been one of the most acquisitive brokerages in the United States over the past several years, is the 9th-largest brokerage in the world, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
Matt Schweinzger stepped down as Acrisure’s chief financial officer in April when another company where he serves as a principal, JJMT Capital LLC, was connected to an alleged Ponzi scheme. JJMT and Mr. Schweinzger are not accused of wrongdoing.
