Price Forbes launches captive unit in Bermuda, names leader

Price Forbes & Partners (Bermuda) Ltd. on Tuesday announced the launch of a captive management unit in Bermuda and named former Artex Risk Solutions Inc. executive William Wood as senior vice president of the operation.

Mr. Wood, a veteran of the Bermuda reinsurance and insurance marketplace, was previously director of captives and commercial insurers at Artex Risk and prior to that CEO of Charles Taylor Ltd.’s captive management business.

Price Forbes Bermuda was recently granted an insurance managers license by the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the brokerage said in a statement.

Price Forbes is part of U.K.-based brokerage The Ardonagh Group and has over 430 employees.
