SiriusPoint anticipates third-quarter loss of up to $100 million

Bermuda-based SiriusPoint Ltd. is anticipating losses, net of reinsurance and reinstatement premiums, of between $70 million and $100 million in the third quarter, The Royal Gazette reported. The increase is due to severe flooding that occurred in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Bavaria and Saxony regions, as well as Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands from July 13-18.
