Heidi Hull, Cleveland-based operations senior vice president for FM Global, was killed with her family in an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday.

Ms. Hull, 46, is believed to have been shot along with her children Garrett Hull, 9, and Grant Hull, 6, by her husband, Jeffrey Hull, 50, who then killed himself with a shotgun, according to news reports.

Their bodies, along with that of the family dog, were found by police officers Tuesday afternoon when they went to the family home in Avon Lake, Ohio, after Ms. Hull missed a conference call and a colleague called police, according to news reports.

Ms. Hull was a Business Insurance 2020 Woman to Watch. At that time, she had worked at FM Global for almost 20 years, after having started as a temporary employee in the processing department.

FM Global said in a statement that Ms. Hull was one of the 50 top executives at FM Global and the first woman ever to be promoted to senior vice president-operations manager in the company’s 185-year history.

The insurer said that among her responsibilities, she oversaw the strategic direction for Cleveland USA operations, which included Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and parts of Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania.
