House bill would lower age for Medicare eligibility to 60

More than 125 lawmakers in the House of Representatives introduced legislation Sept. 3 that would lower the Medicare eligibility age to 60 from 65, reports BenefitsPro. The Improving Medicare Coverage Act would expand Medicare to at least 23 million people, the lawmakers said in a statement.
