A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck near the Mexican beach resort town of Acapulco on Sept. 7, damaging buildings, toppling trees and killing at least one person, Reuters reported. The strong quake also caused power outages in Mexico City, Guerrero, Morelos and Oaxaca states as well as the State of Mexico, affecting 1.6 million users.
