Strict lockdowns and travel restrictions in Vietnam’s major export hub Ho Chi Minh City due to the fast-spreading COVID-19 Delta variant infections are threatening the global coffee supply chain, BBC reported. Vietnam is a major producer of Robusta coffee beans and the restrictions further threaten exports, already hit by a global container shortage and port logjams.
