Southern California commercial lines brokerage launches

Modern Reign Insurance Brokers, a regional commercial lines brokerage based in Mission Viejo, Calif., announced its opening on Monday.

Specializing in property/casualty, workers compensation, employee benefits and claims advocacy, the Southern California start-up is targeting a general commercial clientele.

The co-founders of Modern Reign are CEO Zach Brown and Josh Diggs, director of claims. They were both previously with Orion Risk Management, a unit of Alera.

Mr. Brown worked as a partner and producer in the insurance industry since 2015.

Mr. Diggs has worked in the sector since 2001, specializing in workers compensation and claims. He was awarded the WorkCompCentral Comp Laude Award in 2018 and has been a board member of the Hispanic Insurance & Risk Management Association since 2015.
