9/11-related deaths and disabilities cost NYC $2 billion in pension funds: Report

The terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, are still costing New York billions of dollars in pension liabilities, reports the New York Daily News. An analysis by the city’s Office of the Actuary, the first since 2003, estimates that the cost of 9/11-related retirements and deaths through June of this year has soared to $2.35 billion, the article says.
