Cyberattacks on remote workers cost firms over $60 billion

The Cologne Institute for Economic Research said that German companies suffered an estimated €53 billion ($62 billion) in damage from cyberattacks as they transitioned to work from home arrangements in 2020, The Bharat Express News reported citing Bloomberg. Globally, cyberattack-related damages more than doubled to €224 billion, with remote working responsible for about a quarter of that increase.
