Chubb announces promotions

Chubb Ltd. said Tuesday that Matt Booker has been promoted to head of its Westchester wholesale and excess unit’s property and inland marine practice, succeeding Bob Meyer, who has been appointed executive vice president, North America property. 

In the newly created role, Mr. Meyer will report to Derek Talbott, division president, North America property and will serve as a key member of Chubb’s North America property management team. 

Mr. Meyer, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, will build and develop employee training for all North America property, while continuing to provide underwriting direction and guidance to Westchester, Chubb said. He will be responsible for strategic planning, portfolio management, including catastrophe management, and reinsurance strategy. 

As executive vice president, Westchester property and inland marine, Mr. Booker, also based in Alpharetta, Georgia, will lead new business development, strategic direction, underwriting strategy and product development, Chubb said. 

Mr. Booker will report to Scott Meyer, senior vice president, Chubb Group and division president of Westchester. 

Mr. Booker was previously senior vice president, major accounts property in the U.S., which serves the large account segment.
