A celebrity choreographer wants to make sure people stealing dance moves from TikTok performers can’t touch this.

JaQuel Knight, who has choreographed for Beyoncé and other performers, has teamed up with Logitech to help minority dancers who post their moves on TikTok to copyright and monetize their creations, BET.com reported Thursday.

The problem is other performers have been copying moves without giving credit for compensation to the originators. The issue gained steam when in March, singer Addison Rae performed several TikTok dances on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” but did not give credit to the choreographers.

Mr. Knight in a statement called his latest collaboration to help up-and-coming TikTok stars “a remarkable step in our goal toward creating a system of protection for young creators.”
