Bermuda still investors’ favorite for cat bond issuance

Insurance-linked securities and reinsurance sector experts recently voted for Bermuda as the most favored market for catastrophe bond issuances despite the emergence of competition from newer jurisdictions, especially in Asia, The Royal Gazette reported. The experts at the recent Artemis Insurance-Linked Securities Executive Roundtable said that Bermuda’s adaptive regulatory environment, ability to innovate and strong risk transfer infrastructure support its high value proposition.
