New COVID-19 cases, lockdowns hamper air cargo operations

Rapid spread of the coronavirus Delta variant in China and stricter quarantine measures and lockdowns are disrupting air cargo operations, adding further pressure on the supply chain, Air Cargo News reported. Some Chinese airports have temporarily suspended operations since early August, while others have reduced capacity substantially and have canceled hundreds of flights.
