Coal miners to self-insure as insurers shun industry

Australia’s coal mining industry is considering self-insuring after major insurers and investors withdraw from coal projects over mounting concerns around global warming, Brisbane Times reported citing The Age and The Herald. Picnic Labs Ltd. is in discussions with the Australian coal mining industry for establishing the insurance mutual fund for them.
