Global supply chains are feeling the impact of extreme weather conditions in China, as a heavy typhoon season strikes the country, severely affecting port and factory operations in Chinese industrial hubs, GCaptain reported citing Bloomberg. Chinese ports, including Yantian and Shanghai’s Yangshan facilities, recently halted operations due to typhoon alerts, affecting goods transportation already disrupted by the recent COVID-19 outbreak-related closures.
