A ransomware attack on South African ports on July 22 and the resulting disruptions have forced the state-owned ports and rail freight company Transnet SOC Ltd. to declared force majeure, The Bharat Express News reported citing Bloomberg News. The declaration covers the ports of Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Ngqura, and Durban, which is also the busiest shipping terminal in sub-Saharan Africa.
