The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to review a case in which HIV patients argue it is discriminatory that insurers and pharmacy benefit managers require patients to buy specialty drugs from pharmacies they own, reports the Ohio Capital Journal. The California lawsuit, filed on behalf of four anonymous HIV patients, argues that the service from a mail-order pharmacy is greatly inferior to that at a community pharmacy, so CVS Health’s practice of making such patients use it discriminates against them based on their disability.
