COVID-19, income losses increased medical debt: Survey

Nearly half of adults in the United States diagnosed with COVID-19 or who lost income during the pandemic struggled to keep up with medical bills, including people covered by health insurance, finds a new survey by the Commonwealth Fund, reported by UPI. Just over one-third of working-age adults with employer-based health insurance reported medical bill or debt problems, the New York-based Commonwealth Fund found.
