Nike supplier halts factory operations due to COVID-19 outbreak

Taiwanese footwear manufacturer Pou Chen Corp., which supplies to companies such as Nike and Adidas, has suspended production at its factory in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City for 10 days starting July 14 due to soaring COVID-19 cases and resulting lockdowns, Business of Fashion reported citing Reuters. Nearly 50 coronavirus infections have been reported at Pou Chen’s Vietnamese plant.
