Lockton Re specialty lands Aon executive

Lockton Re, the reinsurance business of Lockton Cos. LLC, has recruited former Aon PLC political risk executive Eran Charit to its specialty division.
Mr. Charit most recently was head of structured and capital solutions at Aon and prior to that was a political risk and credit broker at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Based in London, Mr. Charit will join Lockton Re later this year, Lockton Re said in a statement. The reinsurance brokerage continues to add expertise to its political risk and credit team, which will expand to seven with the addition of Mr. Charit.
“There is a real need to provide a differentiated approach and solve for the lack of choice in reinsurance advice and broking in the ever-important and complex politital risk and credit class,” Keith Harrison, CEO International for Lockton Re, said in a statement.
Lockton Re recently opened a Bermuda office and named Jonathan Davies, formerly a senior Aon PLC reinsurance executive, to run it.
