Aon PLC’s Impact Forecasting unit said that the recent series of severe convective weather, thunderstorms, rainfall, floods and tornado in Europe caused an estimated $4.5 billion in aggregated insured and reinsured losses, becoming the costliest European weather event ever, Artemis reported. Western and Central Europe recorded a spate of severe weather events between June 17 and 30.
