Seventy-two percent of working Americans surveyed feel that employers should require proof of vaccination in order to return to work.

In surveying 1,378 Americans on the ideal work environment, the media company Digital Third Coast also found that 43% prefer staggered schedules and 34% would prefer more outdoor spaces for work. Other key findings include that 27% prefer a “hyperfocus” on hygiene and 19% prefer the use of official “vaccine passports” for work inside a building.

Related to remote work, 43% believe that remote employees should be paid less than those that work in office; 49% would quit if hybrid work environments weren’t an option; and 45% would quit if they could not work remotely.

The survey was conducted between May 28 and May 4.
