New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed into law a bill that allows health care providers to prescribe medical marijuana via telehealth, according to mHealthIntelligence. The measure is intended to serve people who face barriers to in-person care, including children in long-term care facilities and patients who are developmentally disabled, housebound, terminally ill or in hospice care. The law removes a requirement that a patient must have an in-person exam before using connected health platforms.
