Kaseya ransomware attack forces Coop to close 800 stores

Swedish supermarket chain Coop Sverige AB had to shut down all 800 of its stores as it was unable to operate its cash registers after a major ransomware attack on U.S.-based software firm Kaseya Ltd. on July 2, Brisbane Times reported. The REvil ransomware attack has affected thousands of businesses worldwide, including Swedish firm Visma EssCom AB, which manages servers and devices for many Swedish companies.
