Hub buys Oregon agency

Hub International Ltd. said Tuesday that it has acquired Ward Insurance Agency Inc.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Ward Insurance has locations in Eugene, Portland and Medford, Oregon, and roughly 70 employees, according to its website.

The broker places commercial coverage with a focus on industries including the construction, health care, hospitality and manufacturing sectors, Hub’s statement said Tuesday.

Ward Insurance President Erik Finrow will join Hub as executive vice president of Hub Northwest and lead the broker’s business in Oregon. Ward’s employees will also join Hub Northwest.   

Andy Prill, president and CEO of Hub Northwest, said in the statement the Ward acquisition will strengthen Hub’s position in Oregon and the region.
