The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. said Thursday that Bill Bloom has resigned as executive vice president of claims, operations, technology and data and analytics.

His portfolio will be split between two executives, Deepa Soni and John Kinney, the statement said.

Ms. Soni, the company’s chief information officer, will oversee technology, data, analytics and information security.

Mr. Kinney’s responsibilities have been expanded to include operations in addition to his role overseeing claims.

Both will report directly to The Hartford’s Chairman and CEO Christopher Swift, effective Aug. 2.

Mr. Bloom will continue as a Hartford employee in an advisory capacity through his retirement in early fall 2021, the statement said.
