Singapore watchdog to review Aon-Willis merger more

The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore has decided to review the merger of U.K.-based insurance brokers Aon PLC and Willis Towers Watson PLC more deeply after it identified some areas in which the merged entity would have undue advantage over competitors, Artemis reported. The watchdog said that the merged entity would become the largest provider of executive compensation and related consulting services in Singapore after the transaction, potentially affecting competition in the sector.
