Pennsylvania county to issue bond to improve pension plan funding

Westmoreland County commissioner has approved issuing $140 million in bonds to financially strengthen a pension plan that pays benefits to more than 1,300 retired government employees, Trib Live reports. The plan now is 82% funded.
