BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

EEOC

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has named Carol R. Miaskoff as its legal counsel, the agency said Thursday.

Ms. Miaskoff had been EEOC’s acting legal counsel since February. She joined the EEOC as an attorney advisor in January 1993.

The EEOC’s office of legal counsel provides legal advice to the chair — who is now Democrat Charlotte A. Burrows — and the commission on a wide range of substantive, administrative and procedural matters, the agency said in its statement.

The EEOC’s legal counsel under its previous chair, Republican Janet Dhillon, was Andrew F. Maunz.  He joined Jackson Lewis P.C. as of counsel in February.

President Joe Biden named Ms. Burrows as chair and Commissioner Jocelyn Samuels, a Democrat, as vice chair in January.
