Tuscaloosa considers changes to first responders pension plan

The city of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, said it is examining a revamp of the pension plan it offers police and firefighters, WUVA 23 reported. City officials say such a revision, which would entail moving from a private plan to a Retirement Systems of Alabama pension plan, would make it easier to recruit new employees and hold on to firefighters and police officers.
