Davies to acquire Texas property claims company

London-based claims management company Davies Group Ltd. said Wednesday it will acquire property claims company IAS Claim Services of San Antonio.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

IAS, which focuses on property, commercial, catastrophe and large loss claims, will join Davies’ existing U.S. claims business led by CEO Matt Button, CEO of Claims Solutions U.S. and global head of M&A at Davies Group.

IAS CEO Walter Leddy and his existing management team will continue to lead day-to-day operations, and all 71 IAS employees will be joining Davies, according to an email from a Davies spokesman.

Davies Group CEO Dan Saulter said in a statement that IAS has invested heavily in proprietary technology such as its national loss adjusting platform.

Earlier this year Davies acquired third-party administrator The Littleton Group of Austin, Texas.
