EC could approve Aon-Willis merger as early this month

The European Commission may reportedly approve U.K.-based insurance broker Aon PLC’s $30 billion acquisition of counterpart Willis Towers Watson PLC before late June, well ahead of the EC’s own decision deadline of Aug. 3, Artemis reported citing Reuters. Both the brokers have made significant divestments to allay the competition fears raised by the competition authorities.
