EU regulators mull fining Amazon $425 million for GDPR breach

The National Commission for Data Protection in Luxembourg has proposed a fining Amazon Inc. $425 million for alleged violations of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, Market Watch reported citing the Wall Street Journal. The fine amount would be the largest ever for the breach of EU privacy laws. The alleged violation relates to Amazon’s collection and use of individuals’ personal data.
