JBS pays $11 million ransom to end cyber attack

Andre Nogueira, chief executive of Brazilian meat processing firm JBS SA’s U.S. division, said that the firm paid $11 million worth of Bitcoin in ransom to the hackers to end a five-day cyber attack on its systems, ABC News reported. The company faced a cyber attack on May 31 that disrupted its operations in Australia, Canada and the U.S.
