Philippines files criminal complaint against ex-Wirecard COO

Philippines’ National Bureau of Investigation has filed criminal complaints against bankrupt German financial services provider Wirecard AG’s former Chief Operating Officer Jan Marsalek and other entities for breaching banking, cybercrime, and e-commerce laws, The Fiji Times reported citing Reuters. The Filipino authorities have also cited falsification of commercial documents in their complaint against Wirecard, which claimed to have kept more than $2 billion in two Philippine banks at one point.
