Kenyan insurer posts record net profit despite pandemic

Kenya-based African Trade Insurance Agency Ltd. reported a 43% year-on-year growth in net profit to $39.4 million in 2020 despite the uncertainty and difficult conditions triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The insurer also reported a 12% growth in gross written premium to a record $125.6 million.
