Alliant hires M&A insurance, tax experts

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. said Wednesday that it has hired a mergers and acquisitions insurance expert from specialty agency Vale Insurance Partners LLC and a tax expert from KPMG as senior vice presidents, mergers and acquisitions.

David Cohen, who joins Newport Beach, California-based Alliant from New York-based Vale, will specialize in transactional risk services for private equity firms, corporations and alternative asset investors, with a focus on representations and warranties insurance, an Alliant statement said. 

New York-based Ryan Davis, who most recently was a principal, asset management - international tax for KPMG LLP, will focus on insurance for tax issues in M&As and corporate tax risk management.
