Ransomware attack to cost Irish health system over $120 million

Paul Reid, chief executive of Ireland’s Health Service Executive, said that a ransomware attack that hit on May 14 is likely to cost the Irish health service system more than €100 million ($121.8 million) to undo the damage, The Journal reported. The total amount will include the cost of network restoration, system upgrades and other related expenses.
