Sweden’s ban on Huawei could hurt Ericsson’s deals in China

Swedish telecommunications firm Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson’s intentions to be a part of China’s 5G network deployment plans could be jeopardized if Sweden’s ban on the use of Chinese firm Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.’s equipment is not lifted in an upcoming court ruling, India Times reported citing Reuters. China has threatened to take retaliatory action against Ericsson if the ban on Huawei continues. Sweden banned the use of Huawei equipment in 5G deployment citing national security risks.
