Generali sees 11% boost in operating income

Italy-based insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA’s operating income increased 11% year-on-year to €1.6 billion ($1.9 billion) in the first quarter, driven by growth in nonlife insurance and asset management segments, Inese reported. Total gross premiums were up 4.2% to €19.7 billion.
