RPS names former Hylant exec to Midwest casualty role

Risk Placement Services Inc. has hired former Hylant Group Inc. executive Aashish “A.C.” Chauhan as executive vice president of casualty in its brokerage division, based in Chicago.

In the new role, Mr. Chauhan will support large casualty growth across the Midwest, the Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based wholesale broking and managing general agent unit of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Tuesday.

He will report to John Head, president, national brokerage, for RPS.

Mr. Chauhan was previously director of transactional risk at Hylant where he managed M&A-related risk and insurance services. Prior to that he held senior positions at Marsh LLC and Aon PLC.

RPS recently hired a former Willis Towers Watson executive to oversee its Northeast casualty practice.
