TigerRisk snags Guy Carpenter exec

TigerRisk Partners LLC has hired former Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC executive Jack Snyder to lead its insurtech and financial advisory practices.

As head of insurtech origination and head of financial advisory, Mr. Snyder will lead its ratings agency advisory team and focus on the insurtech sector, Stamford, Connecticut-based TigerRisk said in a statement Monday.

Mr. Snyder was previously managing director, head of the strategic ratings advisory unit at Guy Carpenter for 16 years. Prior to that, he was chief marketing officer at Munich American Reassurance Co. and before that chief ratings officer at Oldwick, N.J.-based A.M. Best Co.

Mr. Snyder will be “guiding our clients as they evaluate rating impacts of business strategies and new opportunities,” Nathan Schwartz, head of analytics at TigerRisk, said in a statement.
