Mitchell to acquire East Coast managed care organization

Mitchell International Inc., known as Mitchell | Genex | Coventry, announced Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire East Coast managed care organization QualCare Alliance Networks Inc.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. A closing date has not been released.
Piscataway, New Jersey-based QANI, which is currently owned by Cigna Corp., provides managed care and clinical management services to hospitals and other health care providers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. When the acquisition is finalized, it will become part of Coventry, and QANI President Alice Herron Lihou will continue in her role and report to Coventry President Art Lynch.
