Gallagher in talks to buy some Aon, Willis assets for $3 billion

U.S.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is reportedly in discussions to acquire a portfolio of assets from U.K.-based Aon PLC and Willis Towers Watson PLC for $3 billion, Chicago Business reported citing Bloomberg. Gallagher would reportedly buy the assets in Germany, Spain, France, and the Netherlands and Willis Towers’ reinsurance business in order to ease some anti-competition concerns raised around Aon’s proposed $30 billion acquisition of Willis.
