MEMIC promotes three to underwriting territory managers

The MEMIC Group has promoted three underwriters to the newly created roles of underwriting territory managers, the Portland, Maine-based workers compensation insurer announced Wednesday.

Margaret Templeton, who joined MEMIC as a senior underwriter in 2014, will manage the insurer’s Mid-Atlantic territory and be based in Albany, New York. Before joining MEMIC, she spent more than 20 years with Hartford Financial Service Group Inc.

James Keck, who began working for MEMIC in 2016 as a senior underwriter, will lead the Northeast territory and be based in Wilmington, Massachusetts. He previously spent eight years as an executive underwriter at The Hartford.

Roger Comer, who has been with MEMIC since 2014 and most recently served as senior production underwriter, will manage the Southeast territory and be based in Fort Myers, Florida.
