Ay, caramba! There’s insurance for that!

Don’t cry over spilled refried beans this Cinco de Mayo, for Cholula Hot Sauce is serving up burrito insurance for those whose wrapped and often-messy delicacies fall apart.

The company recently announced that this Cinco de Mayo it will replace burritos for people who have experienced “that #BurritoDown moment,” described in a press release as “when your over-stuffed, mouth-watering, tortilla-wrapped handheld falls apart at the seams on the first bite.”

According to Datassentials April 2021, 88% of U.S. consumers have tried a burrito, “so, almost everyone’s been there,” Cholula says.

And now for the exclusions: If you don’t live in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and New York City, you are out of luck. Those who do can use the codeword “BURRITODOWN” on the free DoorDash app and online to unlock $20 toward any order that includes a burrito at participating restaurants with no delivery fees.

On select orders, a mini bottle of Cholula will be included to spice up all your Cinco de Mayo favorites in select orders, and there is a limit of one code per order, and that code may only be redeemed once. The offer is available while supplies last.
