European regulators accuse Apple of antitrust law violations

The European Union regulators have accused Apple Inc. of breaching the bloc's antitrust laws by imposing unfair rules on rival music streaming services such as Spotify Technology SA that directly compete with its Apple Music service, Business Today reported citing Associated Press. The regulators allege that the app developers selling digital content on the App Store are forced to use Apple’s in-house payment system that charges a 30% commission on all subscriptions, making services relatively expensive for customers.
