UnitedHealth Group Inc. on Wednesday said it would include cost saving options to self-funded employers, Health Payer Intelligence reported. Under the changes, employers that integrate medical and specialty benefits in a net cost guarantee plan from the Minnetonka, Minnesota-based insurer will receive a credit if costs exceed projections, among other things.
